• Section 6 of Alberta’s Vehicle Equipment Regulation (or BC Transportation Act) requires a motor vehicle or trailer to have mud flaps • Mud flap must cover width of tire and come down to center of the axle • Mud flap is not needed if body of the vehicle comes down to center of the axle • Passenger cars do not require mud flaps
